The discovery was made in Xiangfan, in Central China's Hubei province. The bronze horse was found recently in a tomb from the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The dynasty dates back around 16-hundred years. The life-sized horse wears a spirited expression. Experts say the piece is beautifully cast. It is a work of primitive simplicity, characterizing the style of the Han dynasty. Although the hind quarters of the statue have been damaged, the work is expected to make an important contribution to the study of the art of its era. The horse, reportedly is even larger than those unearthed in the tomb where the Terra Cotta warriors were discovered. Editor:Liu Fang
