Here is a summary of the Round 2 play-off action from the official website:

Russia's GM Alexandra Kosteniuk, current Women's World Chess Champion,
defeats tough Georgian IM Sopiko Khukhashvili to advance to R3.
Seven matches was decided on tie-breaks today. All of them were decided in rapid games. Katerina Lahno, Zhu Chen, Ruan Lufei, Aleksandra Kosteniuk, Elmira Skripchenko and Huang Qian confidentially won their matches with 2:0 and joined the participants who had already promoted. Viktorija Cmilyte who made a draw in the first game against Elisabeth Paehtz succeeded to win in the second game. The most remarkable defeat was caused by Huang Qian who kicked the former world champion Antoaneta Stefanova out of the tournament. In the first game Huang Qian got position with advantage from the opening and converted it into a point. In the second one Bulgarian player had a comfortable position and chances to equalize a score in the match but didn't succeed.

Former Women's World Chess Champion, Bulgarian GM Antoaneta
Stefanova, loses R2 playoffs to China's WGM Huang, Qian and
is out of the Championship - a shocker.
