The BBC and the British Museum have outdone themselves with a new series of shows, only 15 minutes each in length, featuring 100 objects from the Museum's vast collection and, through them, giving the viewers a "history of the world."
Here is a review of the program from cheeky Miranda Sawyer at the Guardian.co.uk. Is there really a person named Jim Naughtie? Mr. Naughtie? Oh my.
Ultimately a lot more than 100 objects will be available in an online museum, contributed from museums (and regular people) from all across England, Wales and Scotland. At least, that's what I get out of reading Wales joins world history project and Scots artefacts in digital museum.
Cool!
