Climate Change Endangers Archaeological Treasures
Archaeology Magazine online profiles several archaeological sites and heritage areas in danger of being destroyed by climate change. It seems likely their destruction is inevitable, and scientists and archaeologists are racing against time in an attempt to recover and preserve as much as possible: the retreating Swiss glaciers; thawing Scythian tombs; Channel Islands erosion; Greenland's melting sea ice; desertification, etc.
